Your UAE Credit Report (AECB): What It Is and Why It Matters
Before approving financing, banks in the UAE usually check your credit information. Knowing what is in it helps you prepare.
What it is
Al Etihad Credit Bureau (AECB) collects credit information from banks and other lenders and produces a credit report and score for individuals.
What it shows
Your financing and credit cards, your repayment history and your outstanding balances.
Why it matters
Banks use it, together with your income, to decide whether to approve financing and on what terms.
How to keep it healthy
Pay on time, avoid unnecessary new applications, and check your report for mistakes. You can request your report through AECB’s official channels.
Rates, fees and requirements are set by each bank and can change. Not sure how this applies to you? Request a call and we will go through it together.
