What is the UAE IBAN format?
A UAE IBAN contains 23 characters: AE, two check digits, a three-digit bank identifier and a 16-digit domestic account number.
Can this tool generate an IBAN from an account number?
No. The UAE Central Bank states that UAE banks are authorised to generate and issue IBANs to customers. Use the IBAN provided by your bank.
Does a successful check prove that an account exists?
No. The mathematical check verifies format and checksum only. It does not confirm account existence, ownership or status.
